Become have partnered with a leading production studio on their search for an experienced VFX Supervisor for their Brisbane studio. This would be a fantastic opportunity in a permanent role for someone looking to become part of and lead a tight knit team with high standards of output and a proven track record.
As a VFX Supervisor you will provide technical and artistic leadership and QA of the VFX team and work directly with the Creative Director and Executive Producer. You’ll be working with the heads of department to design the artistic and logistical approaches to VFX shots and supervise your team towards the best outcome to that approach.  
Essential Responsibilities
  • Help VFX Producers ideate and develop pitch materials and proposals
  • Preparing quotes and cost breakdown for new business proposals
  • Supervising location shoots to ensure VFX requirements are met
  • Regular client facing touch points and team management to ensure best outcomes
  • Establishing VFX requirements of projects, setting internal goals, and determining resources required to achieve desired outcomes
  • Supervision, assessment and feedback to guide artists
  • Assessing the quality of VFX material completed
  • Mentoring and training the creative staff

Desired Skills and Attributes
  • 8 + years employment in the Film and Television industry
  • Extensive knowledge of VFX workflows and software
  • Extensive knowledge of Maya, Houdini and Nuke
  • A demonstrated successful track record of involvement in VFX projects
  • Experience supervising people and projects
  • Strong sense of client service
  • Experience managing budgets
  • Outcome driven and highly efficient
