Our client is a creative agency based in Crows Nest specialising in marketing and special events. For over 24 years they have been creating experiences, engaging consumers and pushing the boundaries of brand immersion.

Due to continued success and growth they are looking for a Senior Graphic Designer to fill an integral role and join a growing team of fun, loyal and collaborative team.

The Opportunity

The Senior Graphic Designer is part of a team of four who are responsible for the creative direction, ideation, and execution of all experiential creative & design. This is a fast paced and varied role which requires a designer to be multi-faceted, who is adept at learning new skills and can apply their design training to varying disciplines.

You will be working closely with a large Account Management team on multiple briefs from a large portfolio of clients across Alcohol, Lifestyle, Hair and Makeup brands.

Your role will be to collaborate with the Account Service team on creative ideation and brainstorming on conceptual client briefs for all experiential and marketing activity. You will be required to work across multiple brand guidelines and follow client's brand standards on all created materials.

Daily Tasks

  • Design concept Key Visuals
  • Concept Sketching /scamping or 3D visualization for pitches to communicate ideas quickly and effectively
  • Execute custom design elements for event collateral such as digital activations, wall graphics, exhibition design, banners, signage, invites, registration sites, etc.
  • Campaign artwork roll outs within brand guidelines
  • Design logos, brochures and other event assets
  • Making print ready artworks after campaign rollouts
  • Making mock-ups with the designed artworks
  • Photo retouching for large scale graphics
  • Understanding of retail design and ability to design graphics for retail displays and POS
  • Making gifs and basic video editing
  • Effectively communicate and articulate the rationale behind your ideas and design work.
  • Proficient in managing multiple tasks and respecting internal and external deadlines.
  • Build final print ready files and see elements through the print production process to ensure design integrity, color accuracy and image quality are met.
  • Ability to carry your work from concept through final production with meticulous follow-through with a positive, can do attitude.

Skills and experience:

  • Agency experience focused on events/experiential is a must
  • Degree in Graphic Design or design equivalent
  • 5+ years industry / design experience
  • Technically proficient and an in-depth knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, web and social platforms
  • Power point presentation template development
  • Motion graphic or animation skills an advantage
  • Strong interpersonal, written, presentation and oral communication skills
  • Team player with an ability to work collaboratively and autonomously
  • Strong creative and problem solving skills combined with attention to detail.
  • Driven, highly organised and self-motivated with a curious mind
  • Proven ability to work and thrive as a member of a team in a fast-paced creative deadline driven environment with multiple projects.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work creatively in a group environment.
  • Prior experience in Events or Experiential marketing
  • Strong time management skills
