Full service global agency is looking for a National Media Lead for a maternity leave cover, starting immediately and going until Christmas holidays, with potential to extend. 
The Media Lead will look after a small team of 5 buyer/planners and need to be across both traditional and digital, but particularly strong in digital strategy and client leading.   
  • Be the lead on 4-5 key client accounts
  • Challenge and provide senior strategic direction on large media initiatives being delivered to clients
  • Run brainstorming sessions for new briefs 
  • Oversee new proposals, challenging and checking approach, budgets, and timelines
  • Ensure day-to-day operations are aligned with agency strategies and commercial goals
  • Have a thorough understanding of media client's brand proposition, media strategies, budgets and targets
  • Ability to plan and buy media if ever required, especially from a digital capacity  
  • Support traditional media manager roles with digital solutions that are best in market, including programmatic
  • Work closely with creative, strategy, account service teams to ensure full service integrated approach  
  • Where relevant be involved in agency pitches to help input potential channel strategies  
  • Support the agency on audience research and insights  
  • Run training session on media developments
  • Work with senior publisher leads to ensure the agency stays across all new media initiatives in the market 
  • Find new revenue opportunities across existing clients
  • Manage national media revenue and forecasts
  • Flexible for 4 days/week; Sydney CBD office location
