Digital Content Sales Manager

Leading global financial publisher is looking for a driven and independent B2B Digital Content Sales Manager to launch its ANZ office.

This role will require you to run a full sales cycle (lead generation to closing and accounts), and offers the opportunity to work autonomously, but also with the prospect of being the first on-the-ground hire and growing the business.

You will have the support of the wider APAC regional offices and team, but be hungry to develop a new market across the corporate, financial, government, and education sectors in ANZ. Thus, networks in these areas, and/or prior experience in digital content subscription/licensing/media syndication sales will be highly regarded.

-Create a robust sales pipeline, ensuring that top prospects and gaps for new business are identified and sectors and account plans prepared in order to achieve annual targets
-Work closely with the marketing team to help prioritise and drive activities that will support the achievement of new business targets
-Ensure prospecting and product tools available are capitalised upon
-Keep up to date with market & competitor developments and have the ability to speak with confidence on the content and company value proposition
-Networking at industry and company events
-Prioritise face to face meetings with new prospects to build strong relationships at a senior level and with stakeholders in other departments within the company
-Document all sales activity in Salesforce, follow up all leads in a timely manner and keep opportunities updated with regards to likely close date

-5-7+ years’ experience in digital content/data/subscription/licensing/media syndication B2B corporate sales
-Existing networks and knowledge of the financial, education, government and corporate industries
-Track record in developing new business and of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
-Experience in solution based/consultative sales to senior management
-Excellent presentation, communication, negotiation and closing skills
-Extremely high level of initiative, motivation and accountability
-Excellent organisation skills and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
-The role will require travel and international business/financial outlook/industry sector knowledge
